Staying connected to our customers is among one of the highest priorities for Auction Direct.
The social web is not a fad; this is a fundamental shift in how people communicate with each other, and most importantly, how we interact with our guests. Businesses can now interact with more personalized and segmented content. Doing so helps us improve our customer satisfaction levels, increases response time and helps provide the most unique shopping experience possible. One of the most significant benefits to us as a company is the amount of word of mouth exposure these connections help create.
Auction Direct makes every attempt to connect with our customers across a wider spectrum than anyone else within the retail automotive segment. Here’s 7 ways you can stay connected with Auction Direct online:
Our website forms: These obviously play an important role in helping you get information you need quickly. We understand that many people feel more comfortable contacting us this way for help with general inquiries, specific vehicles info, credit applications and trade in requests. We always do our best to follow up with any online form request within 10 minutes during normal
Our used car blog, over 4 years old now, is one of the longest running dealership blogs in the country. Thousands of readers visit the site each month for entertaining & helpful used car information.
Facebook: 1 in 4 Internet users are on Facebook and they spend a lot of time there. (Which I’m sure you know first-hand) Content shared within our Facebook page is a great way for us to stay connected with our online friends with items such as coupons, reviews and pictures. We know you don’t visit Facebook just to shop, but if you want a convenient way to browse our inventory, you can see them on our Facebook page as well. (Click the inventory link on the left margin of the page)
Twitter: We use twitter to help people solve different problems quickly: vehicle inquiries, job openings and even customer service related issues. Users enjoy the short, real-time exchanges. Plus, Twitter users make up a key demographic for us to connect with: 30% of the users make $100k/yr, 55% are female and 45% are between 18-34. 106 Million users send 55 million tweets per day.
Foursquare Buffalo, Corporate Offices, Eastview Mall, Jacksonville, Raleigh & Victor locations: Foursquare is among the hottest new applications since Twitter. Over 10 million users now “Check-in” on their mobile phones, sharing their physical location with their online friends in return for some type of “reward.” Auction Direct rewards Foursquare users for checking-in with a free oil change coupon. This is an easy way to connect with consumers and helps spread the word – think of it as a digital loyalty program. While still relatively new, 7.1% of the US mobile population are using “location-based services” on their phones – checking-in over 400,000 times every day.
LinkedIn: LinkedIn is the largest professional networking site. (Think Facebook for professionals) People rely on their contacts to find and refer new employment opportunities all the time, LinkedIn helps people do this online. Companies can create profile pages to help attract quality professionals as well. If you don’t have a LinkedIn profile, I recommend creating one and connecting with other Auction Direct employees already using the network.
QR Codes: You may have noticed these bar code-looking squares showing up in our newspaper ads. Once a free QR Code scanner app is installed on your smart phone, scanning the code takes you to a specific page within our website – typically the vehicle inventory results pages. Again, another nice group of users for us to connect with as most of the users are female, ages 35-44 & most use their iPhone to scan product info.
Feel free to use any and all of these to stay connected with Auction Direct USA as well. Let us know how we can help you.
