Kudos to USA Today for expanding its online automotive exposure with the introduction of the  Open Road automotive community. This is another great place for car enthusiasts to get their automotive news fix.

Chris Woodward spearheads this automotive blog initiative writing about anything car related; he’s a true enthusiast and his love of all things with four wheels is evident in his posts. Be sure to check it out…

  • View photo Galleries
  • A great resource of makes and models driving you to other related links (My search for Mini Cooper S took me to an article about Gran Torino)
  • Set up keyword alerts
  • See related topics and read the most popular stories
  • Standard social network/media flair lets you easily share and distribute content
  • Share your thoughts about topics important to you within the forums

The site design is simple and neutral with its soft-green theme; but then again, the content is what’s most important here. Everything is easy to find and the minimal, unobtrusive advertising is nice to (not) see – letting the content maintain center stage.

One recommended addition: More quality links in the automotive blogroll – seems a little light with only a dozen links. I know of one good used car blog link to make it a baker’s dozen. (hint)

Nice job Chris…
