Last year, I started asking our used car twitter followers 10 simple automotive questions in what suddenly became our Tweet&Greet interview.
I originally hoped for three or four responses at best. Of the first 20 requests sent, 19 came back. Apparently, people are very willing to share stories about the memories from their first car, their favorite car if money were no object and their favorite Hollywood movie car. Who would have thought the De Lorean in Back To The Future would be the most popular choice?
Over 200 interviews have been completed to date. The responses have been incredible – with people sharing very interesting and personal information about themselves and their cars.
Bottom line – people love their cars and the stories associated with them. Their cars are usually accurate extensions of themselves; the music they listen to while driving also opens another window into their personalities.
Fortunately, several online “celebrities” shared their answers as well – here’s my Top 10 online Celebrity Tweet&Greet Interviews:
- Darren Rowse – Love Those Wiggles
- Aaron Brazell – Got Stuck
- Jason Falls – Money for Nothing
- Andy Beal – Yes, It Will Be Mine
- Chris Brogan – Those Aren’t My Tickets
- Jenny Cisney – Little & Fast
- Tony Hsieh – ZAPPOS
- Lucretia Pruitt – Still Looks Sleek
- Jesse Stay – Deep Down I’m A Texan
- Ann Handley – Tempted To Say No
Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their answers and personal automotive stories. I’ve learned something personal about you and I’ve learned something from you as well. (And if you don’t follow these people yet – start!)
Still haven’t taken it? Follow me on twitter, visit TweetandGreet.com and take the interview!
