JD Powers announced the winners of their coveted Vehicle Dependability Study.
Jaguar and Buick both made stunning, out of nowhere leaps to the top of the pack to tie for first place. Lexus, who has had a virtual monopoly on this prime spot, slipped to second place. They were followed by Toyota, Mercury, Infiniti and then Acura.
Maybe Lexus slipped as they were distracted by the stunning new designs from Jaguar’s new XF model and Buick’s updated Lacrosse. Jaguar had significantly less owners issues with previous items such as the vehicle’s exterior quality, sound systems and driving experience.
Buick also reported a drop in owner reported isues and improvements on quality across the board. Jaguar jumped from the #10 spot while Buick moved up from the #6 spot in 2008. This was the first time since 1995 that Lexus hasn’t placed first, or tied for first.
New Jaguar and Buick models don’t come cheap though. Do your research and shop for the best price on your next used car.
Get the one of the most dependable vehicles on the road and save while doing so…smart.
