Lawmakers in California have officially hit R-Wing status with their decision to focus their attention on banning black cars.
Why black cars you say? No, they aren’t automotive racists.
Rather, someone from the legislative Mensa association at the California Air Resources Board believes black cars need to be banned because the of the amount of energy needed to cool down dark cars.
The CARB (love the acronym) believes it takes more energy to cool down a black car than it does a light colored car.
What about black houses? Black clothes? Or worse, what about black roads?
This could be great for those selling black used cars or bad for Californians who already own black cars. (The ban would go into effect by 2012.)
